If you have Netflix streaming, then you should definitely watch this 2008 film by writer/director Atom Egoyan, who also did the very good The Sweet Hereafter.  Politics, religion, education, technology, the Internet, a post-9/11 world, truth-telling, the power of narrative, family dynamics…it’s all there.  I’m not sure why I didn’t hear about it in 2008, but I’m guessing it’s because it’s Canadian and I’m American.
